Auriga Discovers New Opportunities Through Networking

September and October have been unusually busy months for Auriga’s salespeople and representatives. Our experts took part in three large industry events: DESIGN East (Boston), MobileCON (San Diego), and the Russian CIO Summit (Moscow). All three events proved to be great platforms for networking, collaborating, and learning. The first on Auriga’s agenda was DESIGN East 2012, which took place on September 17-20 and definitely lived up to its promise, having attracted a large number of significant market players in the electronics industry, including Intel, IBM Rational, Qualcomm, ARM, Freescale, NXP, Microchip, and many others.

The event asserted itself as one of the most comprehensive events for electronics engineers and designers and brought all the latest practical design insights, techniques, and products across a range of application and technology areas to one place, Hynes Convention Center in Boston. The hot topics this year were the latest developments in medical electronics, the increased utilization of sensors in various applications, Android-based embedded projects, electronics LED design, and many more. Considering Auriga’s interests and expertise in embedded, mobile,  and other software areas and a great number of projects for ISVs, OEMs, and other high-tech companies in the company’s portfolio, we could not miss this event. Andrey Pronin (SVP, Strategy, Technology, and Marketing) and Alexey Rybakov (VP, Business Development) visited DESIGN East, presented Auriga’s projects, and demonstrated the company’s achievements while also gaining insight into the latest developments in the industry.

Andrey Pronin shared his impressions of the event:

It was good to be a part of an event focused on engineering topics. The conference was hands-on oriented, with classes and presentations discussing specific technical aspects. Improving and adding communication capabilities seems to remain the focus of many embedded projects nowadays. Most of the projects that we discussed on the show floor were related to adding support for communication protocols or controlling, processing, and delivering to users multimedia streams and data from the sensors.

Another large event in the US that captured Auriga’s attention was MobileCON 2012 (October 9-11), a mobile and enterprise application development event targeted at IT executives and professionals. The event featured a dynamic lineup of world-class speakers sharing their insights, experiences, and visions of how to harness the power of mobility, tackle key challenges, and mobilize a workforce. This year, as usual, the trade show and the conference attracted the major market players, including Dell, IBM, SAP, Symantec, and many others. According to official statistics, MobileCON was attended by representatives from more than 1,800 companies, organizations, and institutions from 43 countries. More than 5,000 IT professionals were registered as attendees of this three-day event with 61% of them being enterprise and IT solutions providers, users, application companies, carriers, and M2M providers and 59% being C-level or senior executives. Auriga’s participants were impressed by the great number of new products and solutions demonstrated at the show and said that they were satisfied with the set of opportunities the show offered the company. Finally, in October, Auriga also discussed outsourcing issues and solutions in terms of smart IT-budgeting at the Russian CIO Summit, which celebrated its tenth anniversary this year. The event attracted around 500 participants (CIOs and top managers of Russian companies).

Auriga’s Sales Director, EMEA, Evgeny Safronov, made a presentation in which he covered the current trends in the Russian IT outsourcing industry, discussed outsourcing success factors, and shared Auriga’s experience. At the conclusion of the Summit, Evgeny Safronov said:

CIOs are those people who currently significantly affect the further development of the IT market. Infrastructure and solutions are becoming more complex, volumes of data are increasing, and cloud storage services are gaining more trust. CIOs are becoming instrumental in business development: It is not only about the support of proper, efficient, and safe operations, but also about timely development and modernization in accordance with the technology market’s trends. Smart outsourcing as an efficient tool for getting a high-end product on a tight schedule and within a sensible budget is one of the most discussed trends nowadays.

Auriga highly appreciates the opportunity to participate in such a high-level event, which is not only an interactive guide that helps to define the vector of development of the Russian IT-services market and to stay up-to-date on the requirements, expectations, and needs of our target audience, but also in no small measure a positive information environment for networking with new partners and clients. We appreciate the event organizers for the opportunity to share gained experience and exchange opinions with interesting people.

It should also be noted that as leading companies face more challenging tasks every day, they turn in their search for innovative solutions to outsourcing providers, which contributes to the growth of the Russian IT outsourcing industry in terms of both quantity and quality. As one of the leading outsourcing providers, Auriga puts its best efforts into delivering new solutions that comply with the stringent global quality criteria and standards. The participation in these events has revealed great opportunities for Auriga in terms of meeting new prospective contacts, exploring new business interests, getting insights into the upcoming trends in the IT industry, and sharing the knowledge and experience the company has gained during its 20 years of successful operation in the software research and development field.
