We have already mentioned before that fall 2012 turned out to be very exciting for Auriga. Between the end of October and the beginning of November, our experts visited two more very important events. One of them was Russian Innovation Week, which took place in the US on October 25-26.
Participation in such events is not only beneficial from the perspective of sharing experiences, which, indisputably, is one of the key factors for any company; it is also a platform for networking and establishing strategic partnerships. In this regard, Russian Innovation Week was a perfect event. As we have already reported, the conference accommodated over 450 delegates who discussed partnership opportunities in such knowledge-intensive fields as biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, information technologies, and telecommunications. One of the main topics of discussion—effective mechanisms for collaboration between foreign investors and innovative Russian businesses—drew the attention of investment professionals, authorities, and major Russian and US companies.
Auriga is a founding member of RUSSOFT, an association of Russian software development companies.
Alexis Sukharev made a presentation in the panel discussion, “Russia’s Impact on the Global Economy: IT,” and covered the main trends in the Russian software industry based on the statistical data of the annual RUSSOFT survey.
Andrey Pronin shared his impressions from the conference: “The event was very effective and productive; I am sure that the conference itself and the discussions that were a part of it opened new opportunities for establishing partnerships between Russian and US companies, attracting investments to support innovations in a great number of fields including information technologies, an area with the potential to become a main driver of the modernization of economics and to establish the information society of the future.”
