Auriga is All Set Up for MEDICA 2017

The world’s leading trade fair for the medical industry, MEDICA, will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 13 to 16 November 2017. Join Auriga in this exciting journey to the fascinating world of healthcare innovations!

MEDICA is the world’s largest event for the medical sector held annually for more than 40 years. In 2016, it attracted over 5,000 exhibitors and 127,000 visitors from 70 countries in 17 halls. This year, the organizers expect tens of thousands of attendees, including leading individuals from the fields of business, research, and politics, national and international experts, decision-makers, and recognized industry gurus.

The event will feature the entire spectrum of innovations for outpatient and clinical care. Six forums and several special shows on varied medical-technological topics will be presented in the halls as an attractive complement to the trade fair. The trend topics at MEDICA 2017 will be digital medicine, telemedicine, mHealth, M2M, big data, wearables, and other hot-button technological issues that are transforming healthcare.

Software development for the healthcare industry has long been one of our top business priorities, and we see MEDICA as an outstanding opportunity to explore the latest medtech trends, share experiences, and develop new professional contacts across the healthcare industry.

Auriga’s Medical Software Development Experience

With over 14 years of hands-on experience in medtech, Auriga is an attractive partner for medical device manufacturers. The company’s portfolio includes over 80 completed projects in the area of software development for medical devices, including the development of system-level and embedded software for life support and monitoring systems, lung ventilation systems, imaging systems, central stations, and mHealth solutions.

In 2016, Auriga worked hard to deepen the expertise in medical technologies. Our initiatives and projects for the healthcare domain included re-engineering of an outdated life-supporting healthcare product, developing a big data solution for cardiac monitoring, ensuring interoperability between medical devices, providing healthcare information security, and delivering a telemedicine solution to prevent disabling conditions. The end of the year marked the release of Auriga HL7 Library, an open source tool that facilitates software development for the healthcare industry.
