Last week one of the leading Russian business magazine “Firm’s secret” introduced its 3rd annual Russian IT companies rating. The rating is based on the special tool that indicates scale of business with regard to a number of metrics. Included are several market segments, such as IT services, software and hardware distribution and production, software development outsourcing. AURIGA, the oldest Russian software services company that celebrates its 15 anniversary this year, is among top five (fourth place in the list) of Russia’s outsourcing vendors.
The overall Russian IT market is estimated to reach as much as $20 billion by the year 2005. The Russian IT outsourcing industry has been experiencing a remarkable growth for last few years. Russian software export development market has existed for more than 10 years, and today it is an important sector of IT business with more than 20% industry share. The average annual market volume growth is close to 40% and many competent analysts forecast that Russia will claim 10% of the global software outsourcing market by 2006. The market volume is predicted to reach $900 million in 2005.
