RIW, Internet of Things, and CNews Forum: Auriga Sums Up Results of Fall Events

RIW, Internet of Things, and CNews Forum: Auriga Sums Up Results of Fall Events

November 10, 2015

On October 21–23, 2015, Moscow hosted Russian Interactive Week (RIW)—one of the main IT events in Russia for the internet, media, telecom, and software development industries—for the eighth time. The event included two days of conference sessions, a high-tech exhibition hall, a media communications forum, and a number of special social events, like awards ceremonies, presentations, and promotional activities.

The conference’s agenda offered an impressive 600+ engaging topics, including innovation marketing and e-commerce technologies, the newest trends in robotics and wearables, big data, social networks, and mobile apps. Over 150 exhibitors, from large international companies to startups, presented their flagship products and solutions, and RIW attracted more than 20,000 visitors.

Auriga’s experts noted that the key advantage of the conference was the great agenda, which focused on practical aspects rather than just theory as is often the case at such events. Our colleagues were also pleased with the participants’ high level of interest in the development of innovative and sophisticated software systems.

At the end of October, Auriga’s experts participated in another interesting event in Moscow: the second Internet of Things Conference, which gathered such companies as Cisco, Tibbo, Microsoft, Google, Yandex, IBM, and Kaspersky Lab. Within the frame of the conference, industry experts shared their vision and hands-on experience in the area of industrial device and consumer gadget development. The exhibition area attracted many visitors who were able to have the first look at cutting edge devices, platforms, and services.

The global Internet of Things market demonstrates rapid growth (it is expected to reach $1.7 trillion by 2020 with over 30 billion connected devices) and provides unlimited opportunities for software development companies. Auriga has been developing mobile applications, software for smart cars, and sophisticated mHealth solutions for a long time. Our experts’ participation in the Internet of Things Conference allowed Auriga to present its expertise in this area, meet with renowned IoT experts, and get acquainted with the latest trends in the area of software development for smart devices for homes, manufacturing, cities, healthcare institutions, etc.

Finally, at the beginning of November, our colleagues visited CNews Forum 2015: Information Technologies of Tomorrow, an event that brought together IT experts from a variety of industries, including finance, telecommunications, trade, the public sector, etc. The agenda (over 100 presentations) covered almost all current Russian IT industry trends and included round tables and seminars with a focus on innovative IT projects in various industries.

Vitaly Zyuzin, Auriga’s account manager, shared his opinion on the events:

Participating in industry events is very important for all companies. We are talking here not only about networking, meeting with existing clients, and demonstrating your expertise and achievements. These events can be used as an industry barometer up to a certain degree. Each time, I try to define Auriga’s place within the industry to see if our proposals interest the potential clients and ensure we are not missing some new prospective development opportunities.

I should say that the IT services that we offer to our clients—from prototyping, software development, maintenance, and testing to migration and re-engineering—are of great interest to a lot of companies that we meet at these expo shows.
