Auriga, one of the best-known Russian software development outsourcing providers, is expanding its presence in Russia. In July, Auriga opened a new state-of-the-art software development center in Saint Petersburg. It is the third company office in Russia outside of Moscow.
In 2006, the company opened the development center in Nizhny Novgorod, and in 2009, the new office in Rostov-on-Don welcomed its first employees. Both cities enjoy cutting-edge IT infrastructures, innovative technology parks, and well-developed labor markets, which allow them to fill even the most challenging positions in a software development company.
Our new location, Russia’s second capital of Saint Petersburg, is home to some of the best technical universities in Russia and worldwide. Students from St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics, and Optics (ITMO) won the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) six times and set several records. Saint Petersburg State University, Saint Petersburg State Technical University, Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, along with the above-mentioned ITMO are constantly named to the list of the top 10 Russian IT universities issued by RUSSOFT, the largest and the most reputed association of leading Russian software development companies.
Since its inception, Auriga has been focused on attracting and retaining talented, highly skilled, and motivated IT professionals. Saint Petersburg provides us great opportunities, as it offers a large pool of candidates from the best Russian universities able to handle the most challenging technological assignments for our clientele. Keeping that in mind, Saint Petersburg was the logical choice for Auriga’s new software development center.
Vyacheslav Vanyulin, Auriga’s General Manager, commented on the opening of the new development center,
“Auriga has been operating in the market for 25 years. We realize that maintaining the high satisfaction levels of our clients and building long-term relationships with them is the main priority of the company. We can achieve this only through an intense focus on the area of talent acquisition and development.
“Saint Petersburg is one of Russia’s IT capitals. For Auriga, it means that we can now hire engineers with experience in distinctive niche domains and specific technologies required by our clients but not always available in other regions. That will allow us to improve our productivity, efficiency, and reliability.”
The new development center is located in the Gulliver Business Center. Currently, our new engineers are participating in a project related to the optimization of the operating system on platforms with multicore ARMv8 processors designed for virtual servers and mini-servers.
