Auriga is All Set Up for HIMSS’17

Auriga looks forward to participating in the 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition, which will be held on February 19–23 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. This year, the event will feature over 300 education programs, including thought leader sessions, roundtable discussions, and workshops; attract 1,200 exhibitors; and bring together more than 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from all over the globe.

The HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) has been traditionally focused on improving the quality, cost effectiveness, access, and value of healthcare through the best use of information technology. The HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition is one of their initiatives offering education, exhibition, and networking opportunities.

The main education topics for the HIMSS’17 will include connected health, electronic health records (EHRs), health IT infrastructure, health information exchange, medical device integration, health data privacy and security, and many others. The HIMSS’17 exhibit floor will feature such specialty exhibit areas as Connected Health, Cybersecurity, Innovation Zone, Intelligent Health, Interoperability, and more.

Auriga is constantly striving to enhance its expertise in health data interoperability Therefore, the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase that displays, in real time, the exchange and use of data through interoperability profiles and standards with live products currently in the marketplace is of special interest to Auriga’s experts.

One of our in-house initiatives is Auriga HL7 Library, an open-source library to provide interoperability for medical devices based on the HL7 v2.x protocol. The solution supports the transmission of practically any type of data within a hospital: between different hospital departments, HIS and diagnostic equipment, HIS and patient monitoring devices, HIS and health wearables, etc.

This highly efficient tool significantly simplifies the development of medical software and equipment. The solution allows any medical equipment manufacturer to find us on the Internet, obtain all the necessary documentation, access our source code, and use it in their projects under an open source license. Please find more detailed information on the HL7 library in our article.

We welcome the opportunity to meet with you at HIMSS’17 to tell you more about Auriga HL7 Library and our other projects, share experiences, and discuss possibilities for future cooperation.
