The year 2020 will definitely be remembered as a time of unprecedented global change. No doubt, it was a challenging year for everyone, yet Auriga stayed strong and committed to supporting its employees, clients, partners, and local communities. Last year not only challenged us with constant changes and disruption but also was full of many outstanding highlights worth sharing and celebrating.
The Year of Growth
At the end of 2020, Auriga was approaching its 30th anniversary on the market with several major achievements. Despite the Covid-19 outbreak, the company remained fully operational; no personnel or salary cuts were enforced. Moreover, Auriga continued to grow steadily, increasing the staff headcount by 20% and gaining several new customers in strategic domains, like healthcare.

Some of us were at the forefront of the coronavirus fight, helping healthcare companies cope with the life-critical medical device shortage.
The sudden switch to remote work did not prevent us from conducting our annual appraisals, and 25% of Auriga’s employees were promoted. Our corporate Training Center organized over 100 online educational courses, both internal and external. Thus, our 30 years’ experience of working with remote and distributed teams allowed us to quickly adapt our processes and navigate the crisis smoothly.
The Year of Fruitful Partnerships
The year 2020 was quite successful in terms of the partnerships we launched and developed. Thus, Auriga became a member of the OR.NET e.V. association, the introducer of IEEE 11073 SDC, a new standard for manufacturer-independent medical device networking. Later that year, Auriga published a free whitepaper on adopting SDC to ensure medical device interoperability with hospitals’ legacy systems.
Furthermore, Auriga entered the Intel® Partner Alliance designed to accelerate innovation, collaboration, and growth. The Alliance membership enables Auriga to leverage Intel® scalable, interoperable technologies and connect with over 300,000 partners to deliver best-in-class software to our customers.
Also, in 2020, Auriga developed its partnership with Parasoft established a year earlier. Parasoft is a global leader in software test automation for embedded, enterprise, and IoT markets. This partnership strengthens our efforts in helping customers ensure the embedded software safety and reliability of their mission-critical products.

The Year of Kindness
Corporate social responsibility, charity, and volunteering have never been as important as in the global crisis of 2020. Therefore, we not only continued to run most of our CRS programs but also launched new initiatives to promote community involvement, lifelong learning, sustainability, diversity, integrity, and healthy living.

In 2020, we introduced the 30 Good Deeds challenge dedicated to Auriga’s 30-year anniversary. The idea was to motivate employees and their families to participate in 30 activities: visiting an orphanage, supporting a pet shelter, helping elderly people, donating blood, planting trees, reducing plastic consumption, sharing IT knowledge, and many more.
According to our annual survey, nearly 80% of Auriga’s employees were engaged in volunteering and charitable initiatives in 2020, and the vast majority of them are going to continue or expand their activities in 2021. This is an outstanding result, and we encourage and empower our employees to positively contribute to the communities we serve.
