Online Networking Becomes New Normal at Embedded World 2021 DIGITAL

embedded world 2021 DIGITAL, a virtual version of the familiar in-person trade fair for embedded system technologies, took place on March 1–5, 2021. The event was held online for the first time in its history due to the global Covid-19 restrictions. Being an active member of the embedded community, Auriga exhibited its expertise and service offerings for the embedded systems market at a virtual booth.

Digital Experience for Everyone

Despite its unusual format, embedded world 2021 DIGITAL offered participants worldwide an opportunity to enjoy company and product presentations, networking, matchmaking, and knowledge sharing. Visitors could explore the exhibitors’ profiles, make direct contacts, and book appointments with company representatives. At the same time, exhibitors got a chance to showcase their technical innovations to a broad audience from the EU, the USA, China, and other countries.

Over 13,000 registered users from more than 100 countries navigated the dialogue platform to discuss new developments, trends, and challenges in the embedded systems market. Some of the hottest topics included embedded artificial intelligence (AI), embedded vision, connectivity, and security. At this year’s digital conference, speakers paid particular attention to electronic display technologies. Participants had access to more than 250 lectures and classes providing valuable insights on the embedded sector.

Auriga at a Virtual Booth

Auriga’s experts were excited to become part of the world’s leading embedded technology event in a new digital format and showcase its embedded software expertise online. Being a standard sponsor of the show, Auriga had an individual corporate profile, or a virtual booth, exhibiting its three-decade-long experience in software development and testing for mission-critical devices, IoT, and AI solutions.

Auriga highlighted the following key services in its virtual booth:

Auriga’s profile is still accessible on the list of exhibitors.

Andrey Shastin, Auriga’s Head of Global Business Development in the medical and embedded system domains, shared his impression of the trade fair:

Digital events have become the new normal in today’s pandemic world. In contrast to traditional offline shows, they give a guaranteed opportunity to communicate with more people and contact more companies worldwide. At the same time, they meet the need for qualitatively new networking and matchmaking tools for convenient and efficient communication.

The embedded world organizers are on the right track offering an online dialogue platform. However, the remote format makes it difficult to focus and retain the participants’ attention. A more engaging and user-friendly platform, with easier-to-navigate UI and richer matchmaking parameters, could engage the users for a longer time and facilitate activities at the event.
